Meet the Director - Kacie Channell

UA Studio 425 Director Kacie Channell
1. Who Are You?

I am a senior marketing major and will graduate this May with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Eller College
of Management. After graduation I am heading to Europe and traveling around for a few months! Post Europe I am moving back to my homeland Southern California, and will finally have to face reality and answer the question, “What’s Next?”

2. What inspired you to take on the role of agency director?

I have to admit, I came into this semester with no intention of taking on any unnecessary responsibilities- I guess you could call it “senioritis?” However, when the project presented itself I felt oddly compelled to get involved. Of all the classes I have taken this was the first that offered such a valuable real life experience and I saw it as a perfect opportunity to put my creativity and leadership skills to the test. Ultimately it was Dr. Ackerley’s passion for advertising and motivation that inspired me to run for the position, and needless to say, I am so happy I did!

3. What's the project goal?

The goal of the campaign is to create awareness and build a positive perception of Chevrolet and their vehicles- the Equinox, Cruze, and Camaro.

4. What's been your favorite part so far?

This has been a huge learning experience for me and I have truly enjoyed working with the directors, the students of UA Studio 425, EdVenture Partners, Chevrolet and Dr. Ackerley. I would have to say that my favorite part so far was last week’s PR Event at Eller. Words can’t describe how happy, proud, and excited it made me to see all the hard work and campaign vision come together!

5. Which Chevy are you?

I’m a Camaro!
